ASSEMBLY REQUIRED: The Culminating Exhibition of Hunt Residencies Cohort 10
Oct 30 11:00am — Dec 5, 2026 5:00pm
Hunt Gallery proudly invites you to ASSEMBLY REQUIRED, the culminating exhibition of Hunt Residencies Cohort 10, marking the completion of their six-month residency. Over the past several years, Hunt Residencies has provided emerging artists with free studio and exhibition space, mentorship, and a collaborative environment designed to deepen artistic practice and foster creative exchange.
Witness the artistic journeys of the most recent Hunt Residents, Cohort X, as their 6 month residency culminates. These eight artists <David Blackburn, Mariah Bush, Liz Cuminale, Christy Francis Shanti Morrisey, Jill Thomas & Sarah Townsend> joined us back in June and have been creating new bodies of work their studios, located at Hunt Art Gallery.
The exhibition is assembled in fragments of rusty oil paint, encaustic and paper shreds of mass culture and memory, bowed cowgirls cross-hatched in wood grains, ghosts covered in acrylic abyss, conversational faces preserved in styrofoam, and felted creatures of that meld with your emotions.
Come celebrate their consistency and dedication. Costumes encouraged.
Opening Reception: Friday, Oct 30, 5–9 PM
Artist Talks: Saturday, Dec 5, 12-2pm
