As an omni-disciplinary artist my practice tends to feed on the world around me. Energy leaves impressions on me that I have to reckon with through my work. I reference my environment in works that involve construction, fabrication, conceptualization and social practice by way of story-telling. I will be embarking on this journey with my long-standing creative partner, wavy. I see our partnership as a dance that sways back & forth between who’s leading and who is following. The push and pull that our minds combat through help create a space that is uniquely ours. I will use this residency to expand upon the ways in which I can weave different processes of creating with others. Through unexplored mediums I want to hold conversations with my collaborators’ expressions and intentions. I hope to recontextualize their work through my own..
