Andy Krystek
Native to the Buffalo/Niagara region. A graduate of the University at Buffalo
with a BFA in printmaking in 2011. Much of his twenties was spent working,
and traveling across the country forming a genuine interest for all walks of
life. Currently working as the resident artist at Roswell Cancer institute, as
well as a teaching artist for various local institutions. His work consists of
drawing, painting and print techniques. Starting with the physical nature of
mark making, a visual history is created by allowing the play between error
and correction, creating a scaffolding in which figure and form are
supported and able to grow. From process to subject matter there is an
unwavering support of humanity, error and understanding of others, always
walking towards what is yet to be understood.
